The love story of Kaitlyn and Josh isn’t like every other. From only seeing each other 50 days out of the year to falling asleep on Facetime every night, Kaitlyn and Josh survived 6 years of long distance dating—a feat not many can claim.

Their love story started in 2011 during Art & Music class at Bishop Ready High School. Neither knew it at the time, but this class would change the course of their lives forever, starting an on again, off again tango throughout high school—I mean who doesn’t want to be single for the summer when you’re 15 and can’t drive anyway?

At the height of awkward puberty and questionable haircuts, somehow neither could resist the other’s charm. After 4 years of too much PDA by their lockers, they both knew they had to give long distance the “college try”. So, Kaitlyn moved to Oxford, Ohio and Josh drove 895 miles away to Massachusetts to follow his basketball dream. It wasn’t easy, but they survived the ups and downs of a long distance relationship. Kaitlyn waited for Josh for 6 years to come back to Ohio like Allie from the Notebook, and they were finally reunited in 2020!
